Watch out for false savings!

In the traditional tire business world, some basic industry practices could  easily lead to a false conclusion of savings.  One of these practices is none other than... ...PRICE COMPARISON!

Lets go straight to an example:

Imagine two different tire suppliers: Retreader A and Retreader B

Retreader A claims that although they are more expensive they have a higher quality product than Retreader B.

The point of the above example is that even though the price difference is greater than the performance difference, because most people forget to take into account the new tire mileage the calculations are done incorrectly.

In fact, the greatest investment was on the new tire casing, but that is forgotten when comparing retread prices.  The poorer performance of one retreader also affects your initial investment, the new casing, and the final results that matter (CPM) will be compromised.

Now multiply this effect to all the retreaded tires and you'll get the picture that price isn't all that important.  Performance is what really matters, and performance is usually achieved with the use of quality products and proper maintenance.
