Budini Tire Survey

This system is designed to inspect and analyze tires in a very fast and accurate manner.  Tire Inspections can be manually or electronically entered into the system and reports can be processed immediately after each inspection.

Budini Tire Survey can be used to perform two types of inspections:

This system was originally designed to help Tire Dealers open new accounts by providing a better and more sophisticated service that is very beneficial to fleet customers.   With now more than 15 years of evolution since the original design, the system has grown dramatically in sophistication and functionality.  Nowadays Its is used by independent tire and/or retread dealers, fleets (any size and configuration), tire and retread manufacturers and consultants.

Using the Budini Tire Survey System is much like "taking a picture" of the current tire situation at a given moment, and than having a fully automated analysis done immediately after, while vehicles or scrapped tires are still available.

Main Uses of BTSS For Tire Dealers / Service Providers

  • New Fleet Account Acquisition: Impress yourfleet accounts by showing their current maintenance levels and how you can improve it.
  • Account Maintenance: Make sure maintenance levels are normal and the mileage thieves are reduced by comparing inspections periodically.

  • Monitor tire maintenance: The Single-Fleet version of the Budini Tire Survey system provides fleets with the means to detect, monitor, reduce and maintain at an optimal level the main causes of excessive tire wear, such as air pressure, tread depths, matching, visually detectable problems and more.  BTSS will quantify the potential losses due to problems detected and if corrective and preventive action is taken BTSS can quantify the savings.

Tire manufacturers usually supply BTSS to their customers or dealerships and benefit from the resulting information.  Besides all of the benefits that BTSS can provide directly to the end customer, a synergy exists in order to provide Tire Manufacturers with important information about their and competitor products.  This is a more effective and less expensive way than sending technicians or to hire outside parties to visit fleets and inspect tires order to gain market share information.

Budini Tire Survey analyzes on-vehicle tire inspections in 8 areas:

  • Air Pressure - Analyzes and classifies the current air pressure situation, flags tires that need to be repaired or replaced and if used with the AUDIT Tools can correct air pressure automatically.
  • Matching Analysis - Automatically detect the mismatched tires based on inspected data.
  • Matching Projection - Automatically suggests tire rotations in order to achieve optimal matching within the inspected tires.
  • Visual Reports - Ranks visually detectable problems in order of priority and action to be taken
  • Potential Losses / Savings - Quantifies the amount of money each tire will cost in terms of excessive wear if current maintenance conditions remain.

The Budini Tire Survey experience can be enhanced with the use of electronic data collection tools, such as the Audit Tools or the Budini Survey PDA to speed-up data collection times with improved consistency and accuracy, and completely eliminate data entry.  When using the AUDIT Tools connected to a compressor, air pressure can be automatically corrected at the time of inspection according to the fleet's specified recommendations.
